Hi guys,

If I let my bike run for 5mins water starts to come from the tell tail hole on the water pump, I have been told it will be the two seals inside the water pump and that this is a very simple and quick job to do. So my question is do I need to remove the clutch cover? do I need to remove the other large cover the clutch cover mounts to?

You will have a far better result if you remove the entire clutch cover ( large piece ) the water pump impeller is a 2 piece design and it is very easy to break, and the oil seal is recessed pretty deep iirc.

Thanks for the help, I have the cover off and I have removed the circlip from the back of the shaft behind the sprocket. but am unsure how the sprocket comes off the shaft as it does not want to move at all. Once I remove the circlip do I push the shaft through?

Remove water pump cover and impeller nut first and pull the whole shaft out.
