Title says it all... I am looking at an out of state 2010 FE 570 which already has a plate (New Mexico), but I'm not sure if that means I can get a plate for it in the good ol' Republik of Kalifornia.

I don't think so, call your local dealer to confirm though.

2010, no way, Jose. Not in Cali. That's why I waited for the 2011!

Well, I don't know what to believe... I just got off the phone to Malcolm Smith Motorsports in Riverside and was told over the phone that the 2010 "FE 570 S" was CA legal (that's not the Supermoto version, the "FS 570").

They are wrong. Husaberg didn't make FE 570S in 2010, only 2011! There is one sitting in my shop right now.
So now you'll be further confused!

I want to clarify, the FE 570, offroad enduro model, was available in 2010, not the FE 570"S" street legal.

You should check the CARB sticker on the bike and vin. That's what the person at the DMV will do.

I have a 2010 FE450 with Ca. Street registration... So, yes, it is possible :D

Possible perhaps, but not legally since these bikes lack the proper on-road emission sticker.

Anything can be had for a price in California. I know guys who have plated many bikes and claim they still can. I believe, however, that the correct answer is that there is no "S" model in California in 2010. I have been told I can get my 426 plated if I want but now that I have the 570 that's off the table.
