2010 FE450 - Speedo Replacement Suggestions

My speedo/hour meter has been on the fritz for a while, and finally went out (2010 FE450) on my ride Saturday. I assume replacement is a simple plug-and-play? Also - I thought I heard before that it isn't powered - could this be as simple as changing the battery within the meter?

Suggestions on OEM vs aftermarket? I am willing to pay a little extra, within reason, if it makes a difference.

The Trail Tech ‘Vapor’ has more features and is cheaper.

Isnt it usually just the internal battery that needs to be replaced in the OEM units.

Yeah, that's what I am asking. Is it just a simple battery change (something like a lithium coin battery)?

It wasn't the battery, so I replaced it with the TT Vapor. Got in about 90 miles of woods riding this weekend, and I'm loving the new Vapor.
