2010 FE390 Tire Size

Hi all,

Got a 2010 FE390. I plan on doing quite a bit of off road and trails but they are quite far from my place.

I’d like to go with the Heidenau K60 Scout tires, but I was wondering if they will fit the factory Husaberg wheels? I want to go with the 150 width for the better on road tread pattern with a continuous belt for highway cruising.

Factory tire size is:

Rear 140/80-18
Front 90/90-21

Closest I can find for Heidenau K60 Scout is :

Rear 150/70 B 18
Front 90/90-21

Again I am looking for the belted 150 width rear.

Should I look at other size that may be better suited for my use? Thanks.

someone has to be the first to try it....why not you!

what I can say is, that although the squat ratio looks wrong at a '70' it is 70% of a far wider tyre therefore it is correct and your rolling circumference will be the same as say a 110/100 or a 120/90 or a 130/80.

for my money the tyre is too big and won't sit right on the standard narrow rim.

I guess I will just go with the factory size which is in fact available in the K60 scout in this case.

WOW - 150/70, I would be afraid of denting the rim with such a low profile. I prefer a 110/100 or 120/90 for off road for my FE 450, but I dont ride too much on pavement.
