Yeah, can you believe it? my bike has about 12 hours on it and I took it out a few days ago only to tow it back to the truck. luckily, only 3-4 miles of fairly flat terrain. checked EVERYTHING and thought.."no, it can't be loose terminals"
read all the posts about not having a kick start has been no problem? well, I'm that guy who has wished there was one.
However, would not bump start either. so....jumped it thinking..maybe the battery got a cold weather drain. and, it started. ran it the rest of the day and took it home only to discover...yes. LOOSE terminals. good thing is of course only loose terminals. bad thing is....why the hell did not the guy who set up the new bike tighten the bat terminals ?!! and BLOW MY DAY! (part of it anyway) by the way...this bike absolutely ROCKS. traded that day with my buddies 300 xcw and.....wanted mine back right away. if your not in the right gear with those 300's, nothing there to pull you up the hill. my berg however,....just stay on it and...your up and out and into the next. sooooo good.

Hi arreola1
Those battery terminals come loose what seems regular interval, I had to tighten mine twice the first time I was in
very vertical terrain so i had find the problem, they where not that loose either less than 1/4 turn
so it would be wise to check batt. terminals as part of maintenace I do

Later viking

Viking,
indeed. checking those terminals should be and is a part of my lets say.....every 15 hour maintenance. but at 12 hours on a new bike? I was a little surprised. but thats ok. I will make it an every....5 hour thing.
