I have a fe570 running a Timbersled Mountainhorse kit. Long story short I had an issue last week. Starter would not disengage , relay got hot and fried, smoke poured out etc. Managed to ride out by jumping across to battery to start bike. Replaced the relay and now bike won't start. I've swapped the start switch from another 570 and its relay both work fine on other bike. Just checked wiring harness to start switch and no power coming to switch, there is on the other bike. I can't find any decent wiring diagrams and am admittably not a good electrician . Any insides?

I can't find any wiring diagrams worth a damn that show if there's a fusible link or a fuse in the start loop . Tried taking power from battery up to switch ,still nothing. Does anyone know if the rectifier is part of this loop? Bike will still run if I jump battery to starter lead off the main relay. Closest dealer is 5 hr drive so really don't want to take it in to the shop

You have a fuse on the relay itself for the start loop. Actually two as one is backup, they are yellow.

Ya , I've replaced the relay and all the fuses on the bike. Looking like possibly a broken wire in the harness. I jumped a power wire up to the switch and it sparks . Going to do a continuity check on the wire for the start switch tonight. Thx for the diagram though, better than anything I've found.

Had similar with mine inside the loom traced 4 red and white wires that join into one,one of those were broken.
