So, a little back ground. Got the bike to put a Timbersled kit on. Great bike for that. Lots of power. Getting it ready for the season and decided to do the bearing upgrade to the Timbersled. Got that done and decided to wire up a tail light because the kit doesn't have a brake light(removed pressure switch and brake pedal--uses front brake lever). Found power and great have a tail light. Next day started bike and it ran for maybe 5 seconds and then quits? Was working fine the day before.
Figured fuel pump so changed that and fuel filter. Got everything back together and fired it up.. Same result. FI light comes on, bike starts, light goes out after a few seconds and bike dies. Have checked the fuse box(are there more fuses somewhere else?) fuses are good.
I'm out of ides and need help. :confused:Anyone?

What year and model Timbersled did you get? I'm considering one for next year. I'm hoping for some news on the 2016 SX will bring some new bits because they bought out UFO and brought in the designer.

It would be great to here how the 570 runs the Timbersled if you get a chance to right something up.

Later.

I got the short track but with the 570 I'm thinking the long track would be a riot. No shortage of torque to spin it. I changed the gearing this year from 17/20 to 20/17. First gear was almost useless before. The berg hit 100kph on the road(gps) last year. Should be better this year! I don't get to ride it now because I had an incident on a logging bridge 2 years ago. Crushed the end of the left femur (2 years after a knee replacement). I'm still in physio but hopefully, I can get back to work this spring and ride the berg next winter(with knee braces my surgeon says)

Start with the little things new spark plug, unscrew the plug cap from the wire look for oxidation cut off 1/8'' - 1/4'' depending on how much green oxidation you see. Run it at night look to see if you have any arching from the plastic boot to the motor. Search about the wiring harness and connections failing within the harness. Keep us posted your season is coming up shortly get that thing running. Hope you get some great snow this season ;)

Can you keep it running if you twist the throttle ?

Fuel regulator should keep the pressure close to 40-50lbs check it or swap a tank if someone else has a berg.

Wouldn't stay running if I gave it throttle. Now for the confusing part. Worked on the bike last night until I got frustrated and gave up. :banghead: Looked at it this morning and thought maybe I did something when I hooked up the tail light. Undid that work and put everything back the way it was connected. Started bike and same thing.:furious: Runs for a few seconds and then dies. Removed every fuse and checked them. They're fine. Even the starter relay fuse. Hit the button and the berg runs like a berg!! :):happy8::laughing5::greenjumpers:
Was a fuse loose? Is there a reset that requires removal of a certain fuse? I am totally confused now!:xcensoredx:H-berg
