Hi Guys,
I think I need some help with my supermoto FE550e. I had it for 3 years now and managed to do about 500 miles on it.. just using it as nice weather bike on weekends.
Got it from first owner who used it for fun and commuting about 30 miles per day, bike has about 3100 miles and 72h done, engine was rebuilt at 2000 miles at DCR.

Anyway, last weekend was first time when I had longer cruise on it at steady speed (60-70mph about 20 miles long), I noticed it does misfire a bit at about 1/4 throttle, one of my mates said to check the TPS as it may be off and cause this, looked at tps and could not find correct setting for it first and then I have noticed it is in different position than on picture in the manual.. it was actually upside down for some reason, took it off and then I noticed that factory position has been marked on it with green paint and this was only visible when I installed it correct way.
Had a nice ride on it yesterday and there was no misfire anymore, all sweet apart from when I quickly snap the throttle it cuts off? If I open the throttle gently - it revs fine but when I just snap it - it bogs off.
Not sure what are the jetting sizes but my bike always started without choke and it does not backfire at all - ever.
Another thing worth mentioning is that air filter was not oiled before.. and now after I have washed it - it is oiled as per manual.
I never noticed the bog before so seems like it started when I touched the TPS.
Is it worth having tps completely disconnected? I know that some Yamaha WR450's run a lot better with the tps disconnected, not sure if this is the same on bergs.
Thanks for help.
Andy

It won't hurt it at all to disconnect it. You will have a bike with better manners.
Mine has been disconnected for hundreds of hours.

With as little use as your bike gets, perhaps it just needs a good carb cleaning.

I did 140 miles yesterday on it. ;-) Weather was nice and my road bike is waiting for wheels at the moment. I did not clean the carb yet, will try to disconnect the TPS and see how it runs later.

Tried it with TPS disconnected, bike feels bit different now but hard to say if its better, bog did not disappear tho!
