I'm trying to find a souce to purchase the gasket inside of the right hand fuel tank petcock on my 2007 Husaberg FE550.

The complete petcock is listed as:
"50307005000 GAS **** MIKUNI ON/OFF | 2001".

The petcock also fits some KTM's, it is a good, current part number.

The petcock is available for $60.00; I'd much rather replace the gasket though. I $@!@@*&^^%^$%& hate the throw it away mentality. Nothing wrong with the hard parts, this petcock is fully serviceable if I can just locate a replacement gasket.

So, I'm trying to find a souce for the gasket. KTM parts fiche on the web do not give a breakdown for the 50307005000 part number. Sudco does not list it either. It is not a plain o-ring, it's a circular rubber gasket with holes at 12/3/6/9 O'clock, to correspond with the petcock ports.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

if you can't find a gasket you can usually make one from a few different compounds

not sure about the washer but for general o ring type ones you can use

polysulfide elastomeric rubber aerospace fuel tank sealant or

flexible marine grade sikaflex brand polyurethane

you degrease everything thoroughly with a water based biodegradable detergent, apply some of the gel, use 2 tiny spacers 0.6mm thick to keep the petcock body away from the tank, finger tight then leave to cure

when cured remove the spacers and tighten it up.

logjump, bushmechanic, thanks for the replies.

The gasket I need looks like the one in the right center of that jets R us picture.

I called offroadboss this AM, they were no help, said it is not a serviceable part.

I sent jets R us an email, perhaps they'll be helpful.

We understand your frustration wescat. Sorry neither of my suggestions were of any help. It's likely just a $5.00 part if you could find one.
BTW, I found jets'r'us just by googling mikuni petcock then looking though a few of their parts and going from your description of the four holes. I''ll bet if the repair kit from jets-r-us is for a Mikuni, it'll work.
bushmechanic is right in that the part surely crosses over from some other dirt bike/atv. Just most people wouldn't know and even Mikuni probably doesn't know what a Husaberg is.

Same as Bushie's suggestion of making one from a sheet - When I had trouble with a '96 Husqvarna TE-410 petcock, the local wizards told me to get some generic fuel-resistant gasket material and cut it to fit the petcock.

I installed (1) Honda part # 16955-268-020 today. It is a bit small, I'd guess that the "port" diameter and OD should be ~ 1.5 mm larger for an ideal fit. Found it on fleabay for $5. It is not leaking!
