Recently I got a barn find on a 2006 450 FE. It had sat for 6 yrs.
Bought it for 900 and it has been running like a top after a couple oil changes. New tires and tubes. Last weekend, I had been stopped, shifted out of neutral, no issues. Now it is stuck in first. Have done some looking around in this thread and others. Before I open it up I have a couple questions.
First it seams like the general consensus is a rough gear selector due to some soft metal, or the shift fork.
Second- Any preferred sources for gaskets/parts?
I really enjoy this bike and would like to get it running again before snow flies. Thanks
