Has anyone tried to fit newer exhaust to erlier FS650? I can see that the radiator is in a way a bit but is there more problems to be solved?

I have a 2002/2003 bike and there is a lot more exhaust pipes for sale for the 2005-2008 bikes. Even one of my friends has a new SR-racing exhaust that is still in the box.
 
If someone else wonders, the newer exhaust was easy to fit, but i had to buy newer kickstart lever also. The old one hit the pipe when it was up, so it didn´t lock to it´s place properly.
I tried the original 2006 exhaust and SR-racing and both had the same problem.
