Hi all

Would 2004 SM wheels fit a 99 elduro with right way up forks? or am i on a hiding to nothing because 04 onwards have fat spindles?

anyone know if i'm just buying a headache or wasting my money?

cheers

Yes they will fit, but only with a lot of work.
The axle diameter is way different (earlier = smaller).
If they are cheap enough, the smart thing to do would be to buy them for the rims, and lace them up to some used OEM hubs that fit.

Cheers,

Brett

cheers brett

will concentrate on the engine first then, and maybe do the cast wheel route that othes have done.. not like im racing a 99 is it!!

Be careful, the pre-2001 bikes used to required a wider triple clamp setup also.

Cheers,
Simon
