My 2004 husaberg fe 450 is leaking oil, some of the rubber hoses are getting dry rotten...does anybody know a place i can buy hosing to replace these? thank you im a little confused to a place to buy them! Thanks for any help!

Are you talking about the hoses from the top of the valve train cover up into the frame? Or the coolant hoses? I don't think there are any external oil lines on your bike unless you have some sort of an external oil cooler.

See the hose goes to the radiator, it comes off the lower left side of the engine and goes to the top of the radiator, but it leaks oil around where its attached to the engine case

Errr i apolize for the last reply....the hose thats leaking is the one that comes off the LEFT side but off the head, it doesnt go to the radiator...but i do need new coolant hoses..mine are getting pretty rough.

I used automotive heater hose to make mine. Sounds like u may need a water pump shaft seal. Is it leaking oil from the little hole behind where the hose goes into the side of the engine? Is there oil in your coolant, or coolant in your oil? Mine leaked oil but the was no transfer of fluids so I siliconed up the hole.

No, it is not leaking out of that small hole, the oil is comming from the hose above the water pump that comes out of the head, but i also do need to buy new coolant hosing as well, didnt know if there is a place to pick up oem replacment hoses or if anybody knows what the best option is, i know samco makes some but there pricey, but if they last and work well im all for spending the extra $!

Top of head or side of head.... Side of head, coolant hose, oil coming out, no good. Top of head, vent into intake, husaberg part, might be cracked or damaged hence the oil leak.

Yes its the hose that comes off the left side of the head...i haven't seen any oil in coolant or no coolant in oil when changing fluids...but im pretty sure that's where the oil is leaking from

it can't be.

the oil must be coming from the rocker cover area or the valve inspection covers.

I can do all the hoses as can any Husaberg main dealer. they are all still there. you need to be aware of whether you have a thermostat house in the hoses or just the two simple hoses too and from the radiator to the engine.

regards

Taffy

I'll check oil and coolant again...and pray for the best...if oils in coolant and vice versa looks like it could be interesting any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
