Hi everyone.

I've recently purchased my first berg. A 2003 FE650, I'm using it on road with 17's and bigger caliper.

I'm looking to upgrade the exhaust, currently standard(I think!). It seems almost impossible to find one specific to my bike!

Does anyone know of any that fit or know where I can get one for my bike?

they rarely come up and in all honesty, some look ropey now. waiting and watching on ebay is best. also, check out the bikes being sold on ebay as well and look at the descriptions. often they will say what spares are with the bike.....

Thanks Taffy. I will keep my eyes open. Good idea looking for the spares with bike sales.

Do you think it would be possible to get an end can off a different bike and have someone good at welding to match up the middle section? Or would a different exhaust effect the performance not being built for that bike?
 
Possibly an aftermarket 640/625/660 LC4 can could be made to fit the standard header/mid pipe?? I've got one that I've been meaning to try out - never seem to get the time! Might be some jiggery-pokery required....

You can also do a search for Sil Moto exhausts. There was still a full system available for your bike from a shop in Germany not so long ago. If I can find it, I'll post a link.

Anything is possible to do. I used a Yoshimura on my 650 from my Honda VTR SP1 that I modified to fit. If you can weld it and grind it, you can do it!

I have a thread here somewhere about the Doma titanium silencers.
The one on my 06 650 was from a Ktm. It fit over the mid section and with its adjustable exhaust bracket it fit. It has a larger opening at the end than stock.
My 07 550 also has the Doma silencer. I think the E360.
That one had a small exit opening where I removed the end cap and riveted on the stock cap.
Im happy with the Doma's and think it a good option to search for on Ebay. The Akrapovic I had on my 05 650 was really nice, but expensive. Very hard to find them.

KTM 2000-2007 mufflers will fit. If you want header pipes you'll need Husaberg specific.
