2002 650 Berg Thermostat?

hi guys, Im in the process of rebuilding my bike,

Iv looked over everything and then it donned on me that i don't have a thermostat???

ive some some inline ones on the later models.

can someone shed some light on this?

should i get one?

you can have mine if you want gav its never cold enough here to need one.

It can get quite cold in scotland although im not really a snow rider ha.
