I have never heard of the starter ruining the motor. I don't see how it could. Just to clarify, you are able to start the bike using the e-start sometimes? Are you able to kickstart it? How hard is it to depress (kick) the kickstarter? Are you able to spin the motor enough to where it should start?When the engine backfires the starter does not spin fast enough. Could you clarify your statement? Do you mean that when using the starter it does not spin fast enough to start it and will then at some point backfire ending your e-start attempt?
