I have three husaberg bikes that I just recently purchased. 1998 fx600, a 1999 fx600, and a 1999 fc501. All three of these bike have been sitting for who knows how long. I cleaned the tanks and carbs out and changed the oil. they all fire up and run, but I think the clutch on at least one is going out. I put 10w-40 castrol in them. I later read they are supposed to run sinthetic. I was wondering if this would hurt the clutch plates. I also had some fine metal in the tampon filter, looked like glitter with a little like fabric like material... Is that normal? one other thing, do all three bikes have the same clutch in them? thanks .....

All 3 bikes have the same clutch. The fabric material in the oil sounds like clutch.
You can run non synthetic oil if you change it often enough. DELO 400 seems to be the non synthetic of choice.

On the older bikes, any good quality semi-synthetic 10-40 or 15-40, is good enough, used castrol, had no problems, now on putolene, but only due to sponsorship lol
