I have completely rebuilt this 400 and have got to installing the starter. I put the starter in and bolted down, so I wanted to see how it worked and I took the round cover off right hand side of bike that would show the starter spindle and what it would grab when activated. Upon taking the round cover off I notice there is literally nothing for the starter spindle to grab and turn to grab the crank gear and turn the bike over. Am I missing a gear inside of here. I am almost positive I am missing a gear lol unless it uses some kind of pressure to active the crank lol. Highly unlikely but I could use som3 advice on what's going on here. I'm trying g ti post a picture now. I dont even see how a gear could fit in there unless 2 gears go in there and one of them is very small.
