hey do you guys think that 4grand is a good price for what looks to be a fairly new 98 FE501 that has been plated here in california. its got the stock plastics and graphics that look really good....i know its all stock cuz i have a 98 FC501 and remember what she looked like new let me know because Dans 02 thats not street legal is looking really really good

I don't know awhole lot, but 4 bills sounds high to me, I just got a plated 98 fe600e in good shape for 25. I can say that it seems that 98 was a good year for Bergs, mine feels very nice and not a whole lot different from the new bikes I've riddiin.

thats what i thought but the thing is brand new right outta the crate anyway was it hard to get yours plated? I have 98 FC501 that i will probly end up putting a baja kit on and try to plate any suggestions?

Woooh...new in the crate, that's a little different! I would still work-em on price, but sounds much better. My berg is an Elduro, so for its time- it was- and is streetable in CA. plus it came plated. I just got the bike and need to re-up the tags (2004), but the DMV told me as long as it's not five years out--all I have to do is pay the fees and get my tag. So I guess I'm good to go. That's why I bought the bike, it's hard to get a good Off-road bike that is streetable in CA! I was also told that if it were more than five, I would need to bring it in and have them look at it 8O ...not a good idea!
