i run a 19". it has the same rolling circumference and radius as the 18" so you are effectively running low profile tyres. there is no difference in ride.
the choice of rubber is limited but you can get real bargains on the rears!

+1 and I would add to that ...... ive used 19 "rears for a while because I can get tyres with a larger overall diameter than I can with the 18" which is noticeably better for handling and traction particularly as the ground firms up.
the clincher is the bigger footprint area lower workable pressures and good pricing/availability of really big 18" tyres like the 140/80 M5B and the 150/90 terraflex mean they are more practical.

How on earth do you get a 150 to fit, i have a 120 on mine and had to move the exhaust as it was getting hit, stock exhaust.
Sure a 150 would kill it, and also wouldn't the swing arm be too narrow ?
Obvious there is a way, how ?

Don't count on that, I tore a back knob off on my 144...ended my day.

depends a bit on the rim, mine are 2.15 inch, i did have to space out the muffler and the chain did chew the side knobs a bit.
my overall impression of the terraflex was that it is a great big heavy POS with stiff sidewalls.
