09FE450 Flat Spot

When I have the MAP switch in the aggressive position I am getting a flat spot when I crack the throttle from Idle. If I crack it open quick enough it stalls. Anyone have any Ideas. When the switch is in the other 2 positions it is fine.

There was an update for the 09, the update included a revised filter cage and a fuel mapping update to deal with flame outs, specifically a change from closed to open loop fuel metering.

Thanks for that. I will get in contact with the dealer and see what they can tell me about it. Seems to be worse when it gets hot.

Try turning the idle up a little and see if you notice a difference. Does your air filter cage have the screen mesh?

No my filter cage doesnt have the screen mesh. I will give the Idle a go.

The mesh screen filter cage is part of the update, incidentally, over oiling your filter could cause drama as well.

Turned the idle up and rode all day with no problems.
