Has anyone monitored the full travel to bottoming on the 09 forks yet?
Its just that i've taken out 20ml of oil since a revalve and zip tie is still showing 50mm after riding with various clicker changes along the way.
Having said that i dont have access to a track with jumps to give it an extreme pounding at the mo. Are the bottoming cones different or more resistant on the 09s ?
That aside i'm very pleased with the results of the revalve with 4.6s in now ive dialled them in.
I will post end results after a ride tomorrow.

Cheers,
Nick

the bottoming cones are a different part number they have a different thread for the cartridge end.

new decription is M27x0.8 L=100, old is M29.3x1 L=90

the actual bottoming cone part of it is probably the same or could be longer Im not sure.

would like to know the full travel. i guess its probably 295mm. 305 would be nice like the fancy WP stuff.

just go faster and brake a bit harder over some nasty bumps :)

I am wondering if something is slowing the bottoming, like cables etc. It may be with taking the fork caps off and letting the suspension go all the way down to see how easily it does. Just a thought?

if the travel is more than the old forks they will resist bottoming a lot better

if the travel were increased say from 285 to 315 like a nice jap fork the spring force at bottoming with .46s is nearly 30Kg more.

to get that with 285mm of travel you need 0.51 springs.
