09 fe450 what is this plug

I bought this bike for my wife 09 fe 450. While chasing an electrical problem with the headlight, (bad ballast) I noticed this component had a broken wire. I'm either skipping over it in the repair manual or its not there. Anyone know what this is?

I believe that is for connecting an optional selectable ignition mapping switch. The female part of the connection is just to protect the male part from water and debris.
