09 Fe 450 input?

I have been looking at new ktm xcw's as well as some new bergs but this just showed up on my local Craigslist, I know of be cct and fuel pump problem, other than those issues, not have a kick start for a backup is the only thing keeping me from picking this thing up. Seems like a decent price, anyone care to weigh in with there input?

I think the hours are correct. Normally the clutch cover would be much more worn out, say after 100 hrs.

Didn't the first batch of 2009's have problems with their cam chain tensioner? How can he check?

I have an 09 FE450 with almost 4500 miles on it. Never had an issue with the fuel pump. Valves are still within spec. $4G seems like a very reasonable price for an outstanding bike.

That thing is super clean! Outside of the fuel pump w/ inline filter update i would just get the djh cct. I just installed one on my 10 fx 450. I wouldn't worry about the back up kick, IF something were to ever happen you could always bump start it. Only other thing I've encountered is the routing of the breather line out of the valve cover, stock they run to the air box by the air bottom of the filter, mine is routed down to the skid plate.

Good looking buy to me.

4k for that is a bargain, don't let the lack of kick start put you off, do you carry a back up crank handle around in your car ?
