Hi Iam about to fit one of the Dirt Tricks cam chain tensioners to my 570 and reading the instructions for fitment it says about putting the engine on top dead centre for some models, and to check if this is the case for your bike before fitting, I have used the search function to see what everyone else has done but can only find reference to how easy they are to install once the bike is laying on the right hand side can someone please point me in the right direction this is my first 4 stroke after a diet of 2 strokes and the last thing I want is engine damage because I didnt check thanks for any help

No. On the Hussy 70 degree engine, the only special thing you have to do is lay the bike on its right side. Other than that you have to make sure the tensioner stays collapsed - which is why you lay the bike on its side; so gravity won't extend the tensioner as you put it in.

Just follow the directions that come with it - fairly simple and easy to do.

Thanks for that thought it would be the case it was just when the instructions didnt mention that the 70 deg engines along with KTM 530 and 450 didnt need setting at TDC I wanted to check before pulling things apart once again thanks for the input
