I recently bought a 2008 FE450 to use as a flat track or TT bike but so far its been loaned out as a trail bike for bike less friends. After the last "rental" I took it out on my grass track and could barely shift it and when I put the bike in gear, it would start to crawl forward with the clutch in. I pulled the clutch apart and found the edges of the steels blue and the Pressure plate scored. It occurred to me when I started thinking about it that the friend that borrowed the 450 has always had Rekluse clutches on his bikes and we also did a pretty knarly sand ride that day..... I think he smoked it real good and didn't tell me.
I noticed that the clutch pack looked exactly like my old 2002 EXC400 and wondered if it was the same? I have access to DP clutches at a discount but they don't offer anything for the Bergs and thats why I'm asking.
