Went for an overnight ride to Gallagher Head Lake in Teanaway, WA with my friend Lenny on his KTM 350EXC-F and on my FE390.

Going up Hex Mountain
Hex Mountain. You can see some smoke in the distance from wildfires, and Mt Rainier just barely in the distance.
Did a little mine exploring as well.. the area is rich in mining history from a century ago.
We were trying to find an old abandoned trail around the south upper flank of the mountain, but after getting to this point the trail petered out into a game trail littered with blowdowns.
Watching the sunset from Hawkins Mountain
So we rode through the night to Gallagher Head Lake on the main trail.
Night shot of Gallagher Lake
After breakfast we rode to Middle Fork of the Teanaway River.
smoke started to blow in from forest fires burning south of this area.
We encountered countless blowdowns..
We cleared most of them.. this one was fun to push down the bank
letting the hikers know who does the work around here. Shortly after this point we both grew hot and tired, so we decided to turn and head up to Jolly Mountain
