Hi Husa-fans: How can I turn my beloved 2007 FE450 into a 550??

I notice that the bore is the same in both motors, but the stroke is diferent, so this is the question: If I change the rod and the piston, with the stock sleeve, I'll get a 550cc motor???

Any suggestions?

I need this in order to race in the FIM's E3 class (four stroke +475)

PS: I know that Bjorne Carlson rode a 476cc bike last year in the E3 class . I dont know what he used for a piston/sleeve unfortunately.

No, I think you need the other crankshaft for the stroke 70 mm instead of 57 mm.

And imho is the crankcase different, higher, accoring to the higher stroke.

(search vor "496" in the forum.

This is the 550 crankcase, crankshaft with the 95 mm barrel from the old 501.)
