I've been able to match the front rotor with ktm parts, but the rear I cannot find a match. I'm hoping to find a good non-oem alternative (such as Tusk or braking) but can't seem to match it up. Anyone know if there is a KTM equivalent? I realize the rotor is on the opposite side, is there a reason a symmetric rotor design wouldn't work from a KTM?

Thanks

Rear rotor is the same as KTM as well. The wheel and hub are identical too. It is just flipped around.

Thanks, got it all together. Pads, rotors, sprockets, chain, rear wheel bearings and new IRC M5B! Should be good for a while now! Vendor sent the wrong rear pads (they were fronts actually), but luckily even the rear pads from my '97 300 exc where the same. SBS's online catalogue is a great reference to cross-reference different year/brands for the brake components.

Also confirmed the KTM EXC computer cable fits as well.

Hi Basalt,
Husaberg used, since '89 ,KTM parts, because in the restoration process of my '90 FE 501 i saw a KTM marking on the lower triple clamp to fit W P forks.
If you check a Husaberg parts catalogue the number used can be converted to a KTM partnumber, this way i found a lot of parts with the help of the former Dutch importer:)

Thanks Rens. Ya I understand that especially having to find parts for on old ktm that most places don't list anywhere anymore. Sometimes KTMs and Husabergs have different generations of stuff at different years too so if the numbers don't match you never know which years will work. Also the parts numbers don't always match, for instance the '06 spare parts manual lists the rear brake pads as:

546.13.309.200
503.13.090.000
590.13.090.000

ktm-parts.com lists the '06 husaberg rear pad as the same.

ktm-parts.com lists the '06 ktm 450 exc rear pad as 54813090300.

So they don't match and it wasn't possible to cross-reference the KTM parts by part number. I just had to go on blind faith you all know what you're talking about :D

I also wasn't sure if the street legal computer/cable are the same as the enduro computer.
Husy part#: 548.14.068.100
KTM: 548.14.068.100

While these actually have the same part# it does appear that the magnetic sensor portion from the KTM will NOT fit in the Husaberg caliper. The KTM sensor I received (Motion Pro) is much bigger than my existing one. I didn't remove the caliper sensor part to verify however since I only needed the cable.

Hi Basalt,
I am glad that you found the parts you needed:)
But i know that converting partnumbers is a bit of a challenge:(
At the end, it did'nt cost any money, the converting, just a lot of time.
But hey, restorations of older offroad bike's takes a lot of research, wich i don't mind, it comes with the restoration:D

Grtz Rens

p.s. The Maico i owned had an KTM waterpump!!
