Hi Guys, Neil here from good old New Zealand! 8O
Hope things are good and well where you all are.
Anyway my bike is a 06 FE550, it is making some loud rattles whirring noises and generally scary sounds, the guys i ride with recon you can hear me coming from the rattles and noises from the motor - over the top of the exhaust!. My local bike shop will rebuild for me but has asked me to get the parts as they are not Husaberg dealers.
Does anyone have a bearing list for an 06 FE550, I have seen some lists on here but cannot find one for my bike / year.
I was going to go to bike bandit for any bits I cannot get aftermarket.
Bike has done 90 hours and has gotten up to 125 deg C and steamed it up a bit (trailtech vapour readout)
I have a fan fitted but it does FA.
After the rebuild I want to spread the radiator shrouds to get more airflow at speeds under 30 KPH (snotty tight tracks).
Is there an aftermarket radiator shroud that is bigger (drops lower and out say 50mm ea side and at the bottom out say 50mm?
Any and all help greatly appreciated. 8)

the geabox has 2 x 6203
the clutch side has a 6205
the output has a NJ205ECP
cam has two 6201s
pressure plate has a 16004
the mains are what you want. cheap = 6206
then you can have the medium = TMB206JR2
NJ206ECP is the roller
you'll know about the specials from the long mains thread and going to KTM
CFBs have to be OEM (check the pin diameter as either 7.6mm or 8.0mm)
selector is 61806
intermediate shaft inner is 61905
balancers are specials which only i sell at £40
single balancer 61906
outter behind the waterpump is an OEM special. The rubber goes rock hard otherwise i'd get a new bearing and keep the rubber.
i can get you a big end bearing and pin if you PM me. i have a 32 and 35mm rod kit in stock.

all theses bar the selector are C3

Taffy

well, if u were out to confuse the fulla, i reckon you succeeded Taff.

what brand at least? I dare say you aint quoting genuine Hussey / katoom part no's, so must be SKF, NTN or Seiko or something.

Neil, have you found any metal swarf in your oil? bergs are noisy beasts, if ur mates ride smooth n quiet jappies, then they will think the Berg is loud, hell sometimes I get worried with mine, then realise, hey, its a Berg, its part of the deal.

Azza.

if he quotes all those simple numbers with C3 on the end to a bearing stockist they want need to call him back. out of all of them the only ones that want to be 2RS (both sides have a rubber seal) are the
intermediate shaft inner 61905 and the cam bearings which we keep the outer seals on (6201).

Hi Taffy,Awilksch and Gruntunberg, thanks for your input most appreciated I will go for C3 clearance as it is standard (unless there is a benefit to C4?).As for the question about metal swarf in the oil, not much really, the filter never seems to have anything on it, however there has been bigger stuff on the screen and a heap of magnetic debris on the magnet.
I have been using Mobil 1, 4 T m/c oil 15-50.
I am changing the oil every 5 hours, and filter every 10, but I think I will leave the filter for 20 as it never seems to have anything on it or in it.
Thank you for the offer Taffy, on parts I will get it stripped and see if the rod needs doing.

You Gentlemen have a fine day!
Thanks again,
Neil.

We took apart a 02 fx470 today with a damaged ball main....still the original part and it was a 6206c4

Hi Neil,

I'm in a similar position as yourself - engine rebuild and trying to source components from the states cheaply. Although I have also looked at BikeBandit (good for getting a rough cost of parts in US$) I would prefer to give my money to those dealers that have been great with supporting the Berg community by posting on here. In this regard Boss (Rick Bozarth) has been fantastic - great communication and prices. I have also tried contacting MotoXotica (as I really want to source a Wossner piston kit out of the states US$185 vs AU$300 in Aus) but I haven't heard back from them yet.

Anyhow, might be worth you contacting these guys as well.

The reason behind fitting c4 mains is the fact they have a slightly bigger tolerance to allow for a tighter fit in the crank case which close's up the bearing, if you fit c3, the balls to the cage are at a tighter tolerance , and will feel tighter.
Allways use the oven to heat the cases and bearings in the freezer they drop in a treat, non of that big hamer carry on
