I just got my 06 fe450 and have been reading about the DVR needle, does this help on bottom or top end? Currently I am using the stock needle with a 48 pilot and it carburates good, but I would use the OCDVR if it would give it more punch off the bottom. Also I am planning on using the Akraphobic muffler when I get the $$$.

Hello. I think the better solution is to try the jet kit of DALE LINEAWHEAVER and FP exhaust. ACRAPOVICH is not a good idea for Husabergs. FP is the most powerfull exhaust for bergs. The acrapovich borrows the muffler from ktm. The ktm is weaker than the bergs. you can imagine the rest. i said this to you all because I've bought acrapovich and i wasted a lot of money .

You can find FP exhausts in local husaberg dealers.i dont know this detail about db.you can ask your dealer or to buy FP and make it quiet with custom silansier ever you like.

True the full Ti system is pricey. The titanium scrapped from those decommissioned Russian nuke subs don't come cheap.
We just installed a full Akrapo Ti exhaust system on a customers 05 FS650E and it looks/sounds just awesome. Can't wait to get it on the dyno.

BTW, we need to know your original needle code to give you an idea of whether it's an improvement. what i can say is that the D is better than the E for sure off the bottom and although dale's needle is an improvement over both: a D on the correct clip is still better up to say for example 5,000 rpm than his needle in my opinion. back-to-back tested.
