Yes....More than the starter,you have the jap carb and ignition on an 04. It's a no brainer.
The starter upgrade with the battery is over $400. The carb and ignition would be another $1000.
Except if you appreciate the wonderful smooth power of a 501 and don't care for a revvy short stroke 450 or the rather abrupt power of a high compression 550. Only then consider an 03 cause everything else is better for 04.

The 04 & 05 will go a long way in helping increase trade in values of Bergs when they are sold in the future. They have come a long way when compared to my "96 FE600E. Splash the cash on an 04 or 05 if you can.
