I even queried how come the 03 brochure showed the 03s with the big 26mm axle when the bikes being sold only had the small ones........they have an escape clause "equipment may vary from vehicles depicted in this brochure"
Seems the rest of the world scored the later (big axle) forks..............we missed out it seems 8O
:? Finding an 02 spec engine in an 03 bike doesnt suprise me at all- I just wish I had paid more attention to my 8 hour old failed intake rocker to pick if it was indeed the new improved '03 part or it really had 02 spec rockers in it.
Have a look in the owners doc and you'll see what we should have recieved as 03s :wink:
At least with the 04> bikes there is no doubt due to the adoption of the KTM engine number id system so its easy to verify exactly what year the engine is.

Yes, it is true. Aussie Bergs were not fully Up To Date in 2003. I am not sure if mine is a complete 2002 engine but it sure has a 2002 rockers as the same happened to me when I ordered parts. The newer larger roller bearings did not fit. Afte reading Taffy's reply I will check to see if it is all 2002!

you could still have the later clutch plates and hub? rockers as well! the later clutch has dowels on the inner drum.

Looks like 03 clutch hub, but has the 02 shaft with circlip instead of bolt on the end.
