Hi all just a quick query how much would a 02 650fe supermoto road legal be worth in uk thats just had £2000 spent on it to get it running and it only bin run about 6 times not rode just started and now im back to square one it will not start ,i cant see a spark in that bill included a new stator i then brought a coil pack changed that it then ran twice not rode and wont start again!! Just think ive had enough of this bike now any help would be appreciated

A new or re-wound stator must come with some sort of guarantee, first thing to do is check the resistances between different wires.

Red to black 3 kOhm +/- 10%
Green to black 168 Ohm +/- 10%
Yellow yellow to blue 1Ohm

If these are out then your stator is a bad'n.
Otherwise time to work through the rest of the electrics.

Good Luck

Carl.

Ive checked the stator one of the first things i done, got a new spark plug and brought another coil of ebay now unless both coils are bad the only thing left would be the flywheel would i be correct on saying that?

Did you check your kill wire that it isn't shorted out?
I would work through the wiring. Checking connections before starting to buy parts.

then save up over the winter until you can afford to have the electrics checked through. your elecctrics were in a poor state and I gavce you the bike back running.

you must get it done proffesionally. get all the wires crimped and joined up.

as I've said before: all you need do is leave the red, green and black from the stator to the coil connetced. leave the two yellows and blue dangling.

remove the black, orange, white and grey from the coil and let them dangle as well.

this is the bottom line. trouble is, you now have a wet plug and a wet plug doesn't show a spark and it won't start!

put the plug on the gas ring of the coojer for 10-minutes and let it fizz after 3-5 minutes as it burns all the vapours off. then go stick the plug straight in the bike.

it could be you've touched something and not aware you damaged it like the HT lead into the coil or into the cap?

if you haven't doe an hout the tappetrs will be OK but if you've done an hour they may need re-setting.

regards

Taffy
