Could anybody tell me how much and what weight oil for a 02 650.

Could you guys also confirm the seal size, I ordered a set pulled the forks apart and bingo too big....

Hi

Here you have the seal dimension. If you want to go to SKF ones (not so cheap, but good) I can send you ref.

The weight will depend on what you want to do, I use 5.

How much, it's not the way to measure it, it's the distance of the oil from the top of the fork, with the suspension all the way down and without the spring.

You can make some tool like I've did, or even simpler with a plastic pipe, and a syringe.

The height will also depend on what you are going to do ?? off road / mx / supermoto ??

Thanks Zaga

I'm set up in SM format. I'll only be using it for street riding.

A mate is re-spoking the wheels. I've split the engine and checked out the crank and gearbox, which were both good. Checked the piston and cylinder tolerances, also good. Moved to twin valve springs, sledge upgrade. 08 mark cam with decomp upgrade. New cam chain, which was why the engine failed in the first place. Using the old decomp as a choke. Changed the pilot jet to a 33.

So, once I sort out the suspension and wheels, I'm good to go.

Looking forward to it.
