I'm trying to get into the engine, to check the cylinder head.
I have run into trouble getting the timing chain off.
whats the best method?
I'm considering splitting the chain but any other suggestions are good.

unfortunately, the vast majority of chains to choose from are soft link. so you'll have to break your chain as you suggest. when putting it back together, use the later blade (which we modify for you ready) which starts the clickers from #1 what you don't know is that your nicotine yellow one will start at click 12 of 22.

fit a later ADC while you are there. infact just go to Facebook/Taffmeisters/Videos and I do a few really valuable videos.

in 10 minutes I'm off out on my 2003 FE501e. a lovely bike.

regards

Taffy
