has any one used the berg motor holding bracket, or have they made their own. Any photos or plans?

Are you referring to the engine mounts in the frame, or a cradle/stand to hold the engine while working on it out of the bike frame?

If it is the cradle/stand i simply made one up using the pictures of the special tool that is shown in the parts and repair manuals as a guide. Took a few hours to slap together but it makes working on, and transporting the engine a whole lot easier.

I know it looks like crap, but only took my 15 minutes to make it and it does the job it's supposed to do perfectly!

I've use threaded bars to attach the engine to the frame, so I can mount the complete engine or just one half off it.

The connection between the bottom plate and the frame itself is a big bolt/nut you can swing the engine round, there is an extra nut on the bolt so you can lock the frame in place.

Hope this helps.

yes it is the working stand I was referring to. That looks good. Just copying the tools page of the manual may be the go. thanks.

I want to see how this thing works.

F+,

Put the "thing" on an electric hot plate & put the cranckshaft in the freezer for at least one hour.
Find some welding gloves or equal, take the cranckshaft out of the freezer and put in a vice, mount the "thing" on the the main bearing inner race, sqeeze the blood out of your fingers and at the same time turn & pull upwards.
When the ice on the bearing inner race melts away it will be possible to pull the ring of the crackshaft.
