Looks like it's ready to go. The oil cooler location might would worry me about getting damaged if you go off road with it?

That's a Dog Gone Crasy Husaberg! schweet. oh my makes me want one. that oil cooler is trick.

we need a stand back picture from the side with a full view of the bike

I really like your set-up. It supports my view that theses bikes are under-rated for their road worthiness. Lightness is key. I'll bet your riding weight with luggage is around 350 lbs. which is still less than the dry weight of most other 650's.

Those graphics for the big tank are really cool.

what kinf of mod did you make to increase engine durability other than oil radiotor?

The oil cooler will surely have to come off for the Vegas to Reno. Along with the rest of the road items to make it race ready! I'll be stopping at Sportsmen's Cycle in Vegas to see my buddy Darryl Folks and there, i will get her ready to really stretch her legs out! :headbang:

Fantastic Job Rick! Fantastic!!

I like the Highway pegs too, that will definitely help with the comfort on that long trip to Salt Lake.

What's the deal with the luggage rack? Who makes the bags, did you have to make some brackets yourself, and is it all bolt on?

Dale

I didn't see the left side of the bike. I was wondering if you had exhaust heat shields? You got about everything else!

DaleE0 the bags are from first gear, no luggage rack just the fender bag. Yes all
bolt on clamps 7/8 bark buster style.

Is that a "Joe Racer" oil cooler? I didn't see one listed on the BOSS site.

Lots of interesting things incorporated on that bike! Good work...I'll PM you with some questions re: prepping my FE550 for North Africa.

GoldenBoy, Yes it is a joe racer oil cooler. He does not have dealer pricing so that

is why they are not listed!

Thanks Rick, it looks awesome.

Dropped by the BOSS shop on Thursday to buy some parts and wish him the best as he was set to take off to the dealers meeting in Salt Lake City aboard the mighty 08' 650 this morning. That bike looks so sweet in person!!! 8O

What a piece of art BOSS. Proves a couple of things to me....you really know your bergs & you've got WAAAAAAY to much spare time on your hands. have a great trip & stay black side down.

super'berg

I'm new to the site. I recently elected to convert my 99 FE400 to a dual sport . Is there a place where you list the various add-on's to the fabulous 650 'berg, (the subject of the thread). Very nice setup, BOSS.

I'm half way there with the baja kit now installed. I need more fuel and would enjoy seeing your parts list. The oil cooler should add more oil capacity, great idea.

So far :

Baja Designs Kit
Avon Distancias
swapped 13 css for a 14, looking to drop a few teeth on rear

I saw a pict of a south american 'berg with a Dakar -like plastic on it. I've looked high and low and can not find a vendor.

last comment, I have read that the early bergs are not very reliable, though this one has proved to be very reliable. Is the unreliability rumor true? Am I putting $'s into a firecracker?
