Hey guys,

For those who don't read in the supermoto section I've been trying to decide which bike to buy..

I rolled this off the back of my truck today..

Haven't ridden it yet.. Not nice out.. Just doing a ton of reading :)

nice just loose that fender & install the other fender & light that also comes with the bike when new

I have the other fender and light?? does it mount up nicer than the behemoth on there? :)

I have the same rear fender on my 05 FE 650. I thought about installing the 06 one that doesn't hang down as vertical. I went with it though and installed my plate vertical. Perfect fit. Then when I did up my blinkers I bolted on tiny flush mount Billet blinkers for the rear and they look cool. For the front I went stock blinkers, but they were a little wide for my taste so cut the steel bracket near both ends, overlapped them 1 to 2 inces on each side then welded back together. Now the fronts come out just past the platic headlight asembly.

Tried to mount up the other fender and tail light til I realised it's just a lens.. No actual light fixture.. So not sure how that's supposed to work.. Unless I'm missng parts..?

Maybe I have the wrong parts.. I'll take some pics and show ya.. It's just the red ktm lens with the nicer (shorter) fender.. The big light's assembly does not in anyway look like it's going to fit into the KTM light assembly..

I guess the smaller fender would look better on the supermotard, and I did like them on the enduros too. Just that I didn't seem too care enough to switch.
And my friends like the way it looks with the plate hung vertical.

you know, that plate fits perfect on that there mofus flap vertical. I saw pictures of the horizontal mounted plates getting ripped of by bushes. Now that was ugly!

I put some flush mount signals on mine

****** pic I know , camera is toooo hard to figure out !

Everything looks pretty cool except in my opinion the plate. And for me especially, I would cover that thing in dirt in no time. My flush mount led's are similar in size and location.

Here's a pic. I guess the bottom line is that you need to like what you got.

Here I am reasoning again. You know I do agree that smaller rear flap looks better. The only thing is that I want my plate hung vertical on the back of it. Do you know if it fits without hanging off the end? It looks like the plate would be a little long and I wouldn't want that .Let me know if you don't mind, otherwise I might just have to go to the dealer and measure it. Thanks

Yes it does but it looks fine.. MUCH better than stock.. I had cut the old light socket connector out and resplice it but no big deal :)

Welcome to the club

I think you need to spend some time with the cable and wiring routing around the steering head, especially the throttle cables...

They should be coming down behind the bar and triple clamp on their way to passing under the fuel tank.

Cheers
