Some thing i was wondering this bike is kick start only can i put an electric start on this and is there a kit to add this to by new toy thanks.

Its a great find! The first generation motors, 1988-2000, had center cases that were specific for the e-start models. So unlike a 2001 and newer, adding e-start would be a cost prohibitive proposition. Electric starting was introduced in 1996 I believe.

Same bike

That's the one I've got, though, mine is short the rear plastics. If you decide to part yours, I get dibs!

RE: Same bike

Note that e-start was introduced in some of the '95 models.

That's great colin ! One of the first model, about 95 I think.

Electrick starter was first time introduced in 1998 models (elduro denomination) It does not worth to spend time and money tring to install it in previous models.

This is my first post here. After many years riding 2T enduro bikes and some Trail, I decided moving to road models...but there is something running trougth my veins that makes me get an enduro one more time..after some years.

I 've been very lucky since I've got the oportunity to get a used (almost brand new) elduro FE600 -98 only 1600km used...and same time to come true a dream from my youth, riding a HSB enduro bike.

I'll be posting pics from my new bike in short.
