'04 FE450 Force?

Ave amicitia!

I've been lurking around a bit because I'm trying to decide if I should buy this nice 04 FE450 Force. Only 20 hrs and very well maintained! However, not being too familiar with Husaberg, I'd like to have your expert advice: "Great"? Or "there are other and better 450s out there"? This noob is all ears! Thanks!

Hello Fidel,

The 04 450 is a great bike. I have an 04 550 and have had great luck with it.

If it only has 20 hours on it, it is just now broken in. I think you will be happy with it!

The 04 450 is a good bike. I cant think of any reason you would regret buying it.

I used to have it. Awesome suspension, waay better than "normal" FE!

Was about to leave to sign the contract and bring the bike back home when the phone rang. The seller had just sold it to another guy who showed up with the money and took the bike. Who can blaim him? Well, good luck to the new owner, and may the Force be with him. I'm back to square 1. How about a well maintained 2002 FE400?

I always tell people who ask to get a 2004 or later. The 04 models got a new carb and ignition that is way easier to live with. The price difference is so small that you are better off waiting for the right 04.

I have a 2004 FE450s myself and it is great, it doesn't look like a 'Force' no more because it has all new plastic (incl tank) and decals now.

Well gentlemen, I have now purchased a 2004 FE450. Not the Force edition, but only 25 hrs on the clock (why do some people buy these babies in the first place?! They're hardly ridden?). For a small amount of money I got the bike, motard wheels with brand new tires, mx wheels with brand new tires, and a set of spiked tires for winter use. It's equipped with heated handlebars too, which is nice. I think I'm happy!
