Eric, good point. Reminds me of when the 4t were initially brought in, and displacements were jugled around trying to find what worked. I would think that if this happens for MX, that they will have a change in FIM offroad as well, but I wonder that the Euros will continue the 450 lineup. The question is, will the Japanese, build a 250/350/450 offroad bike?

I have seen a couple of countries offer a SE version of the FE (like Italy with the Al tank and akra silencer).
Hey Fry, can you divuldge what percent of Hbg sales are 450/550/650?
Personally, I can't see the 450 continuing if the 350cc (MX1 / EN2) class is enacted. I can see the 475+ (or what ever it is) continuing though in the WEC. Despite claims that there is not a market for big-bore bikes, the E3 class is alive and well, and E3 class bikes are big sellers.fryguy said:

My guess its like the old Force edition, which essentially was your std out of the box Fe with a kit of goodies. This bike does not even have special graphics, that I could notice anyway. Just pick up your Force Parts Catalog and the Visa and build what you want

danny hamel used to run up into the top 20 overall at 100 mile dezert races ON A FREAKIN 80!!!!! when he was like 13!!

Have you had the chance to check out the 04/07 Dirt Bike mag 450 off road shootout? I quote,"The Husaberg is all about performance. It's fast and it's the lightest bike in the test. All this makes perfect sense because Husaberg was the 1st company to show that four-stokes could be competitive racers.The motor is a little old world, but in a good way. It revs slowly without any big hit. It has a six speed so there's is always a gear for anything. In handling and suspension the Berg is race oriented too. The suspension is stiff and so is the frame, making for a very stable, predictable package. The hydraulic clutch and Brembo brakes are excellent. We had no reliability issues with the bike, which is a very big deal. In this tread and others you are always singing the praises of the Japanese bikes and flaming the bergs. Nobody has a gun to your head to make you ride a Berg. If the Asian bikes are so superior go buy one and sell your berg cheap to someone who will appreciate it. Don't give me any of that blind brand loyalty crap either. As well as the Berg I own several other brands and the Berg is competitive with all of them. Remember, Jap bikes are like a--holes. I've got one and I don't need another :evil:
