Due to the ever decreasing allowed noise levels the need for a twin silencer exhaust system is growing bigger every day...

I have only found one (or possibly two) makes that have such an exhaust for our 'Bergs. I have tried to search the web using english, german, italian and so on (using babelfish when neccessary) and have come up with - almost nothing.
The one maker that I know of is SR-racing but their system is made so that the oil reservoir for the rear shock has to be modified -> no good.
The other one is Raas but they have only made one system that I know of and that one is mounted on a swedish SuMo riders bike and is a pure prototype. I have ridden that bike on the ice and man is that one amazing machine. But as I said, a prototype.

So my question is; will anyone help me searching for more makers that will put a great exhaust on the market ? I think that enthusiasts from Italy, Germany, Belgium, UK, France and of course yanks are the most probable to score.
Perhaps former yugoslavia, bulgaria, hungary, croatia, check republic and so on will be a gold mine. Raas is for example from the check republic. But in those countries the language seem to be a bigger issue.

Have you thought of using the KTM SM dual exhaust? I would imagine that it might be an alternative, as well the two side panels and seat may have a chance of fitting, too. You are in the land of the original engineers of the Husky 510 line, as well as out current marque 'bergs -- there should be something nearby...in the little town of Husqvarna! A few days back I saw a Honda CRF with White Bros. duals on it, maybe a note or call to WB, as well how to manage the right side plate. I am interested to learn of this, too...

Thats an idea. But. If I don't buy an off-the-shelf system I might as well fabricate one of my own. I already have the full Akro and have asked a company here in Örebro if they could make new header pipes to fit another akro silencer placed on the right side of the bike and the answer was "of course we can but it won't be a high priority job and it will cost you". Plus I have to buy another akro can...

WB, fmf, akra, arrow, devil, sil and so on make twin exhausts for many other brands of bikes but not for our 'Begs unforunately

a few alternatives

Didn't realize it until surfing a little... Honda CRF250R has dual exhausts...some pictures are attached... maybe this is the answerto adaptation...even plastics in multitudes of colors are available...they sure look cool...reminds me of my old '88 Husky 510TX.

Do Love The Look Of Those LV Pipes. That Pic Of The 250 With Red End Caps Looks........Well......Er....Rubish.
Would Rather Have The Standard Ones Back On

Doesn't it get louder in the twin configuration if the silencers are the same type as used when in single configuration?

No, it is supposed to be a little quieter due to the sound waves having more surface area to be absorbed/dampened...

Stock CRF250 are really silent, you cant hear them, its ace. But when you put an aftermarket twin can sytem on them, they get loud.

Well I don't want to modify any CRF250 stock system and certainly no jura period HVA
Then I'd rather modify my existing akro...

The Rameis has the same negative sides as SR. You need to slash the rear shock and modify it...

Yeah. I looked trough all their projects some time ago. Does not feel like the most stuff they make is for sale.
The brand new R1 they chopped down and put a 'Berg rear on was really cool. I am thinking of doing the same thing to my ZZR600.

I guess they're selling the exhaust system.
But its damn expensive.
Read someting about 699.- € for the silencer and
another 599,-€ for the "downunder" collector... 8O

That's Mad isn't it...

Noticed That Slimmer Looking Tank? Might Be One For Taffy,How Much Does It Hold?

Every body is intitled to an opinion....I'll just keep mine to myself on this one (Mad Maxlas)....they appeared to have quite a bit of work into their creation....holy cow! a monkey-berg wow! A deathtrap for sure -- bet it was fun!....thanks, for the variety....if you can find one, take a look at the way the old Husky 510 (1987-1989) worked...and the Ohlins was a piggy-back one, too...sorry, I couldn't find any old photos of this bike
