Hello guys, I know that this is not really the place to vent about my emergency, but I wanted you to be the first to have a chance at my Berg.

On Feb 3 my son was involved in a head-on collision with a tractor trailer. His mom and a family friend didn't make it. He is in critical condition at the Children's hospital in Seattle. I am going to have to sell my Berg and my Honda Magna. I can't keep riding now that I am all he has left. I will post the ol girl on here for sale as soon as I get home.(sometime in the next 3 months). I know she isn't much, but I enjoyed her, and I know someone else will too. Please pray for us, as we have a long dusty trail ahead of us.

Once again, sorry to vent but I wanted you guys to be first to know about the Berg.

Jason

You know, I have personal experience with this type of situation, (My kid brother broke his neck my wife lived at the hospital with his wife for three months) and while It does nothing to make the situation much better, having to worry about the day to day finacial burden a little bit less does help. I would propose that you let us know what your paypal address is. having to move and live at the hospital is a huge finacial drain. And while sending cards and flowers for you and your son am sure is appreciated, sometimes a little extra cash to pay for things like food, gas, the cell phone bill what ever else comes up, goes along way to take a little sting out of the situation.

I for one would be happy to help with what I can, It wont make a big dent, but if enough of us give a small amount, it will help tremendously on your end.

although You have not asked me to, I am taking the liberty to ask that if you let us, we may be able to help a bit.

I'm in with risky1 and the others this. Hoping and praying for the best for you and your family!

Very sorry to hear about your loss but at least you still have your son.
You and he can always get into biking later.
Thought's and prayers.

My most heartfelt thoughts and prayers go to you and your family. I agree with risky1...

paypal

I appreciate the support. I didn't expect such an immediate response. All I wanted to do was make sure that my bike didn't wind up in the bone yard. It is difficult for a manly man such as my self to accept any assistance. I have had to swallow my pride, and accept gifts from complete strangers. A local church, and my son's head start teacher have helped us so far. I never expected anything from my Husa friends. It says allot about your common man. Today I feel honored to be a part of this group of people. If you would like to make a donation, we would gladly accept it. If you read my blog I posted in earlier, you will see that I am attempting to organize a benefit for Jayden when we get home. We intend to use any money left over to start his college fund.

If I can be granted a picture gallery and instruction on how to use it I would be glad to post some pictures of him enjoying my quad, and some of him here in the hospital. I am not sure how to request the gallery....Any assistance is appreciated.

What info do you need for me to post my paypal account? My E-Mail address associated with this account is: [email protected]

Thanks so much......It means so very much to me.

RE: paypal

your pride is intact, you are doing what a real father would do.

Okay guys, Individually ,A little bit from everybody won't hurt at all, but will go along way for him. Until you are in this type of situation you have really no idea how much cash it takes. Insurance does not pay for incidentals and credit cards get maxed very quickly. It won't make him rich, but it will allow him to stay with his son more that he would have been able to. I saw the generosity of many when my brother was in the hospital, I am paying it back, I hope that some of us can "pay it forward"

It's not alot, but my small donation is on it's way.

I thank you all......Evidentially Husaberg Owners have just as big of hearts as they do engines. :) I don't even know what to say to you all. Thank you once again, it means so much to my family. If any of you ever need anything at all that I can help you with, don't hesitate to ask. I am forever in thanks.

Jason, deeply sorry to here about the situation you are in and this post isn't about an ignition problem.
My thoughts are with you and your family hoping all goes well with the recovery of your son. Even though you are an Internet friend a friend is a friend and in the motorcycle paternity become very close.
Here is my donation and with other help from the lads I am sure it will ease the situation.
Once again sorry for your loss and god speed.

Steve.

RE: Re: My Family Emergency

Very very sorry to hear this!

I just talked to Brian from Thumpertalk and he says you just post your ads on Thumpertalk.com with as many photos as you want, then PM the year, brand and models or your name over there and he'll activate them for free.

Thanks LeFrog

Thanks Froggy....I will take him up on that as soon as I am able to go home and take some pics.

RE: Thanks LeFrog

No problem, and make sure to post on the TT Husaberg and Honda forums as well... Good luck!

A long overdue update

Hello guys,
I know its been a long time, and an update is probably WAAAAAY overdue. A fellow member gave me the idea that some of you might be interested in how my family is doing now. We have been through allot in the last couple of years. Most importantly, my son is doing very well after all he has been through. He is physically almost 100%, but he has a brain injury. He has the mentality of a 3 year old trapped in a 6 year olds body. It makes for some interesting times. I can't thank you all enough for the support you gave us during his accident. You'd be surprised how many people rallied behind us. If you would like to read more about how things progressed for us you can check out my son's web page.
