The bike is still in transit to me but the money has traded hands so I feel it is fair that I begin my initiation as a new berg owner.... Big giggles, all around...

I am so looking forward to shaking out my new scooter.

I do want to thank Jim over at Adrenalin - a real class act to do business with and he dealt square with me when he didn't have to. Kudos.

Here is the machinery Jim set me up with...

Yuri - I hope your right about this one :)

Cheers

Mark

Soopersweet man... One day someone is going to let me ride their SM, which will be sad in a way, because they'll either lose it forever or I'll end up bludgeoned to death. They look just too darned fun to quit riding....

Congrats man, and let us know how you like the first ride!

thanks,

No pressure! Congrats, man! What did you get, and when should you have it? Congrats, again!

It is a new end of model year 06 FS650e with some trick bits by the dealer to encourage foolish purchasing behaviors in otherwise reasonably intelligent individuals....

My father is about get his dream bike - my SMC :)

Cheers

Thanks - I am looking forward to the problem you mentioned... :)

I visited your site - oh man is that nice work! I am an amateur hack but I do appreciate the skill involved in producing work like yours. I work in mining and civil works so my creations are a little different - in my next life I hope to be able to create poor versions of work like yours. Outstanding stuff.

If you can point me to good learning resources for learning how to craft custom millwork I would be greatful. I still have some time in this life to learn a few new 'tricks'... :)

Cheers

Unless you've had a test ride on a FS650 I very much doubt you really understand the trouble (fun) you've gotten yourself into.

I hope you're on good terms with your local county mounties. You might want to pre-order some tickets to the policemans ball.

Enjoy.

I have an inkling but that is all.... I have driven open class dirt bikes for a long time and have come to love larger motors. My current knobby shod bike is a 300exc and I must admit the 300 is a nice sized motor and with its heavy flywheel it is a nice ride for the technical stuff I do. It is legal on the street here, so I ride out of my driveway to the trails. I thought the SMC I have would be different but similar in power to weight but I subsequently discovered just how much 60lbs hurts a bike's performance and feel - even geared down 3T on the CS).

I am hoping the new SM will be what I was originally hoping for tin the SMC.

I am confident from what I have read that I won't be disapointed - plus bmxr promised I would be happy with it... :)

Cheers

Get yourself a 15t countershaft to play with, too. Unless you are road racing, the fourth gear power wheelies will be worth it (and blow your mind)! I always run the stock 15-40 gearing on my c on the street and kart track and only run 16-38 road racing.
