Hi there,

I currently have a Husaberg 470 and am very happy with it!

I've read a lot of discussion on the forum wether there is or is not a official 2004 model FE501e on the market. Well I am happy to say I just bought one!!

It is a 100% 2004 model, with all the 2004 specs en colours. It has the Kokusan ignition, Keihin carb and all the other 2004 specs. The 501 is also in the official 2004 owners manual.

I still have to pick it up, but can't wait to drive it!!! See the foto of it...

Greetz,
Proemer

Wish they still made that bike and it would be my first choice for my next new one! We didn't get anything like it in the states. 03 was our last 501

I have had the chance to ride a couple different 501s and I absolutely loved them.

Have fun and happy thumping!

I think the 2004 graphics are best of all time! The designers really had it going.

i did not know they existed, that would be an awesome bike, the gearshift looks a bit high. easy fixed 8)

PRO 50Z
ZX12R with all the good gear

If that's an 04 Chassis you're going to need to have the dealer replace the right side header. From the the picture, it looks like the one that came on my 04 550, and the front tire will rub on it. The right side header should drop down, and then back up again.

Sorry to have to point this out, but, I felt it necessary.

Hope it works out great for you.......

Dale and I both have 04 550's. The North American Distributor replaced the right side exhaust header (through the dealer) on mine.

hi all,

Is there much difference between the 550 and 501 regarding to power and torque??

I know also the 450-550and 650 but not 501 in Belgium.or maybe i am not aware of.

Wonderfull bike, i have a 501 Force from 2005. I wonder what is a "header"?? You made a great choice, really fun bike :D

I guess i need to inquire as to whether or not the header on my new 04 550 has been changed and if BMG will replace it... it is a "new" 04 bought through a dealer... although Dan is giving me a SCREAMING good deal

I would imagine that Dan will have it sorted for you by the time you pick it up.

Here are 3 pictures. The 1st is of an 04 550 from the factory Web site. You can see where the header crosses the front of the frame at the junction of the engine cradle to the main frame down tube. The 3rd is of my 04 after installing the replacement right side Header. You can see how the header crosses the front of the frame much lower down than the original. The 2nd shows the tire hitting the original right side header on my bike while pulled down (2 " of stroke left) on my trailer.
