Someone wanted to buy a set of those aluminum rad guards with the louvers:

Someone is selling some on eBay right now, Item # 4597864055

That was me and I did see those, thanks. I just thought 50 bux was too much, especially for a first bid.

OK, I'll bite. 10 bux cdn shipped. :p

I think nsman is going to order me in one from Boss in the near future,
but until then I'd wouldn't pay any more than 15-20 bux + shipping for the
finned guards How thick are they anyway?.

I am not the one selling these but I have the same and they are about 1/16 of an inch.

But I do have some that I may resell one day. Hope you're in no hurry.

I've seen various posts on rad gaurds but does anyone sell the wrap around aluminum type like I had on my KTM from their hard parts catalog. These allowed the use of the stock louvres and had no air flow restriction.I'm looking at a leftover 05 FE550(and wipe that silly grin off your face nsman  :) )Thanks
AF

What about me?
I'm grinning too.

Take it for a ride up and down the street, you will not leave without having bought that bike. I'm almost wishing I bought the 5 fiddy.

Kelsow...I was also planning on ordering a set of the BOSS guards. Maybe we can get Rick to send 2 sets to nsman and thenn you could ship to me or vice versa. Maybe I'll give Bruce a call.

I pick up my new 550 on Weds morning. Can't wait!!!

Ford832....you will love the 550. I think I smiled for 2 weeks straight after the first time I rode one. :D

I actually like the "plate" style of the BOSS guards because it makes it easy to tape the rads up when you run them on the ice at minus 20

Bruce can ship the stuff no problem as he has done so for me.

Wed morning eh? Do you get to "open it up" before Xmas?
I think with a little bit more coaxing, Ford will join the club and be happy like the rest of us.

And what's this minus 20 your talking about? 8O

With wind chill, -35°c

Exactly. It was easily -35 to -40 last January when we ran the bergs on the ice in northern NB. They worked great. The pics are really bad quality. The digital camera did not like the frigid temps and has never worked since!!

What is with the snow blowers?? That looks like way too much work. I need to find a lake or a spot on the SJ river that I can get a plow truck on and supplement with quad plow. Either that or I'll just pass on the track and free ride!

Where we ride you can't get a truck to the ice so we have to resort to this.

Here is me on a buddy's Gasgas ec 450.

Well, I bough'em.... All I need now, is a blue petrol tank, and my bike is "done" :)

I'm getting rid of all the yellow...
