Hello
I'm rebuilding my 1999 husaberg fe501 with the older model stronger chain. I took a link out to get it to the right size. Without doing this it was extremely loose and tensioner could not get it tight. Now it will not go on🤔🥲 only way I could get it is be removing the water pump side bearing but after that I can't get it back on... The chain is 78 links long

Any help would be fantastic 🤗

Update: I got it on with putting the bearing (sort of) on after the chain, but it's pretty tight without the tensioner 😬 and guides off

A '99 doesn't require a base gasket, just a thin layer of high-temp silicone.

you also got two water pump gaskets no doubt for two different generations. Buyer beware!
