Hi guys!
Can anyone please tell me if there is a hose or a tube that goes on this marked opening on the head cylinder cap? An if there should be a hose, where should it be conected to?
Thanks in advance! 83A80265-091C-4490-B711-757303E71D64.jpeg

It was conected on my FE600 and when it was conected my bike didn’t work like it suposed to. My guess is that this dirty fluid entered through air intake on carburetor and ruined air-gas compound. Today i disconected it and my bike runs like crazy! And it runs so smooth on idle. I wil not connect it again because I don’t even know what function this has…

Its the breather hose. It should be connected to the frame. If you don't want it connected to the frame just run a hose to somewhere and attach a small filter to the end so that dirt doesn't get in. Google "Crankcase Breather Filter" if you want something fancy.

What is it for? My bike works better without it. When I conect it some kind of dirty fluid drips into my air intake on carburetor.
The crankcase oil pressure has to go somewhere. With the stock setup the oil mist gets recycled through the intake. Some people don't like the frame air intake getting oily. Search this forum " breather mod" and see what others have done. One good thing about doing a breather mod is that if you happen to flip the bike over your intake will not fill with oil. On the other hand if you leave it stock you won't have to worry about oil being blown out the breather tube getting oil on your bike.

Thank you very much! You helped me alot! I will get crankcase breather filter and atach it on the hole. I’d rather get fumes on exterior than in my carburetor intake. Thanks once again!

Be sure to plug the hole in the frame or else you will be sucking dirty air directly into the engine.

I have bought a filter that goes in that hole.

I don't agree and never have done with those filters. in the end they bung up with 'snot'. the WR400 had a breather that with a small twist would happily exit over the final drive front sprocket.

Hi there are many options for crack breather . you can make a botlle or to fit mini air filter like this type in the photo in factory hose . this is 18mm hole and fits directly to frame hole and 4.5 cm .of course you must turn it up side down . for filter inside you can use your wife stanless steel wire cleaner .its better than stock foam and does not melt . hold over 350 c . also you can connect a hose to oil filler plug for double breathing like me .its very important for a warm engine like this to take out the hot air . not turning back to the carb . harm the performance after 15 minutes
