Just thinking about going to a 120/70/17 series tyre rather than a 120/60/17 anyone using a 70?
Whats everyone running?
seen spec on 2005 model says 60 series yet 2008 model say 70 series.

Any thoughts welcome.

Getting this back up, I do have the same question, tyre are not so easy to find in 120/60 so I wonder about switching to 120/70.

Thanks

For road use? I think they are better, make sure it's something good and sticky, NOT a touring tyre. Look at the load rating- lower number means lighter sidewall, better for lighter bike. Will warm up quicker.
If you are worried about geometry, just wind up shock preload (ride height) 1 turn or so.

Yep, get that, we did a LOT of motard and road race short track modded KTMs and Bergs in the day. I actually road raced all sorts of dirt bikes for years- from buckets to a 500MXC! Had the Amaroo Park (look it up) hill climb club record on that for a while......
We also sold heaps of motard kits for dirt bikes and tried ALL sorts of tyres trying for the ultimate handling package.

Thanks for the feedback. I need non-slicks tyres for 70% track usage.
But in 120/60 there is no hypersport tyres apart from the Michelin Supermoto, which does not exist in 150/60 and I don't think 160/60 is a option on this bike.
